We’re almost one third of the way through the 2012/13 Premier League season, and the title race is still wide open. Man City lead neighbours United by just one point, with Chelsea three points below on 24 points, and this season’s surprise package West Brom occupying the final Champions League spot on 23 points. Below them it’s all very close, with just six points between 5th and 13th. After a poor start Arsenal are beginning to gain some ground on the top teams, while Everton, who often seem to make a late surge near the end of the season, have started the season unusually well. The general consensus seems to be that one of the current top three will end up lifting the trophy, but this is the Premier League, and we could be in for some surprises come the end of the season.
